History of Skateboarding:
Skateboarding was created in the 1950s by some Californians. They were most likely teenagers who wanted to ‘surf the streets’. They did this by creating the first ever skateboard. This first ever prototype looked really, really bad as it looks nothing like a skateboard.
This first skateboard was a board with wheels and a box on the top. It looked so bad that people had to change its appearance before they could play it. The skateboard changed dramatically. From a board with a box made of cheap wood and cardboard to long lasting iron.
The skateboard has had a long history, but what of the tricks. The tricks were not tried until the 1963 when everyone knew about the skateboard. By then, people have become extremely confident with the skateboard. With their confidence, they started to do tricks that amazed both them and the people around them.
By the end of the year 1963, skateboarding has become a big hobby. Many people, especially teenagers, have enjoyed this sport. Companies have started to manufacture skateboards and improve their looks, weight flexibility and much more.
